Personal history
I am Diana Bustamante, an international educator and creator of the Ava Lyen® Method, the first educational system that integrates trichology and regenerative hair science, neurowellbeing and multisensory experiences to work on hair care from a holistic but scientific vision.
My story began at 22, when I faced hair loss due to a hereditary condition: androgenetic alopecia. I sought help from several professionals, but none could offer a real solution. That experience didn't make me give up. It made me ask myself: Why does hair fall out? How does it regenerate, and how can I truly heal from the root?
Without the resources for expensive dermatological treatments, I began to study on my own. What started as a personal quest became a passion, and that passion became my purpose: to help others transform their well-being through their hair.
More than 18 years have passed since then. In that time, I have traveled to Brazil, Argentina, the United States, France, Spain, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, China, and Thailand; training and researching how different cultures understand hair health, in order to build a methodology that did not exist.
Today I am recognized as one of the pioneers in the evolution of Hair Wellness as a therapeutic and integrative experience, and I have trained thousands of professionals in more than 25 countries, helping them to differentiate themselves, create high-value experiences and work on the scalp from a holistic perspective.
I am also CEO of CXperience Congress, the most important hair health and wellness event in Latin America, founder of Ava Lyen Head and Hair Wellness Spa, and I collaborate with international brands in dermocosmetics and hair technology.
